Progress is happening on Austin's Violet Crown Trial. This Monday from 6:30p-8:30p not only will we find out how things are going with changes to the trail including new entrances but we get some insight on how to be apart of preventing sewage pollution in our Austin creeks. In this increasingly digital world Amazon is making head way in video advertising from mobile devices to your living room's Fire TV. We will be learning more about their latest endeavor Thursday Night Football while mingling with our Austin techies.

This year Nature in the City has put on a lecture series with Kevin Anderson, a geographer and philosopher of nature of/in urban wastelands. Little Miss Recycle will be attending The Terrestrial City: Green space and Urban Forest lecture. 12p-1p on Thursday July 20th at OTC. One Texas Center. 

Saturday June 3, 2017 - Composting Class!

Austin Resource recovery offers free composting classes. Saturday, June 3, 2017 10:00a-11:00a, learn the ins and outs of composting. As apart of Austin's Home Composting Rebate Program this class is one step towards qualifying for a $75 rebate for home composting system.

Saturday May 27, 2017 - Texas' Farmers Market at Lakeline

Every Saturday from 9a-1p F2M Texas brings us this beautiful array local foods and goods. This Saturday, the 20th, Little Miss Recycle will be there to learn about nutritional, economic, environmental, and social implications of eating seasonally and locally! We hope to see you there! 

Wednesday May 24, 2017 - Free Chicken Keeping class!

Class is offered free of charge 4:30-5:30p. It may surprise you, but keep a couple of chickens is environmentally beneficial! This class will teach you how this is done so you can see if it is something you can implement into you own lifestyle, or at least have some fun!
